Stephanie K. Wuenscher

Ms. Wuenscher is a 2021 graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was a Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Fellow. During law school, she interned at the New York City Commission on Human Rights, where she advocated for the rights of employees, as well as the New York City Campaign Finance Office. After law school, Stephanie worked for over two years as an Assistant District Attorney in the King’s County District Attorney’s Office. As an ADA, she interviewed victims and witnesses, engaged in discovery, conducted hearings and participated in trials, all while litigating a range of issues in both felony and misdemeanor cases.

Ms. Wuenscher also has a long history of advocating for the disabled. Prior to law school, she worked for four years at a non-profit organization that provides support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. There, she first served as a residential direct-support worker, before moving on to Transition Services, where she worked with recent high-school graduates and their families to explore post-graduation opportunities. She also spent two years as the organization’s Coordinator of Case Management.

Ms. Wuenscher received her bachelor’s degree in Human Rights and English from the University of Connecticut in 2013, where she was a New England Scholar and a member of the Honors Program.
