Scott Simpson
Scott Simpson represents individual employees in negotiation and litigation in a wide range of employment matters including whistleblower cases, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, wage claims, pregnancy-related claims, employees in crisis situations, and matters pertinent to professionals and executives. A seasoned litigator who has conducted over 25 trials in state and federal courts, Mr. Simpson hones his experience, creativity and strategic insight to obtain excellent results for his clients. In recognition of his success, Mr. Simpson has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, and a Super Lawyer in 2023.
Prior to joining Menken Simpson & Rozger LLP, Mr. Simpson spent seven years as a trial attorney, including three as a Supervising Attorney, in the criminal defense practice of the Bronx Defenders, a cutting edge holistic public defense organization in the South Bronx. In 2015 he served on the faculty of Defenders’ Academy, a nationally renowned trial skills college. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the New York City Bar Association, and a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College. Mr. Simpson graduated from the University of Michigan Law School where he was a Dean’s Fellow and a Contributing Editor of the Journal of Law Reform. He received his B.A. with Honors from Haverford College.
Mr. Simpson lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Sascha, and their two children, eight-year-old Lucia and five-year-old Oscar.
